Wineries
Aside from stunning accommodation south coast, the South Coast of NSW offer somes of the best wineries in Australia.
The Shoalhaven Coast was officially declared a new wine region in August 2002. This emerging boutique wine region on the South Coast of NSW between Kiama in the north and Durras in the south is producing award winning wines of excellence.
Earliest recorded planting of wine grapes in the region was in 1864. The first modern day vineyard was planted in 1976 with the maritime climate producing fresh, light and delicate white wines and soft elegant reds.
