The South Coast of NSW, in Australia, as whole is beautiful and exciting. If you ever get the chance to visit, then you definitely should. That being said, these are our top 10 holiday destinations, based on overall appeal for all ages.

1. In top place is Kiama. Not only is it the easiest destination to get to (only 2 hours or so drive from Sydney), but is the gateway that leads on to all the other great destinations. If you are coming to the coast it should start with Kiama.
2. Gerringong comes in a close second, offering all the usual beach perks, with the added plus of having tonnes of quality shopping and eating outlets, not forgetting the largest surf shop in the south.
3. With its famous seven mile beach, fascinating history and laid back atmosphere, Gerroa makes for a perfect holiday destination and comes third in our top 10 holiday destinations list.
4. Jamberoo comes in 4th as the hidden gem of the bunch. With its famous valley and unique landscape it is not only a great place to explore, but it also a great place to take part in leisure activities such as those at the Jamberoo Action Park and swimming pool.
5. They don’t say Jervis Bay has the whitest sands in the world for nothing. It’s a truly spectacular destination to discover and is filled with activities, from scuba diving to wine tasting and everything in between.
6. If you are looking to escape the hustle and bustle of Sydney, without having to go out of your way travelling then number 6 on our list, Bundeena is the place for you. Beaches, wildlife and seclusion make this a perfect contrast from your everyday grind.
7. Rich in aboriginal history, number 7’s Kangaroo Valley is renowned for its trails and breathtaking views.
8. Less beach and more forest, Berry is the heart of tree logging, and where there’s trees there are fascinating wildlife. A quiet stay in Berry will detox you from the world.
9. Like most of the coastal area, Shoalhaven is full of amazing hilly views and contrasting landscape. One of its more popular activities is the river cruises.
10. Last but certainly by least is Stanwell park, a secluded village with paradise surf and forest walks to die for.
