A lot of the fun surrounding going on holiday or vacation is the place you book stay in; it’s always exciting and different from your home. The South Coast of New South Wales, Australia has many options, from hotels to caravans, but Jervis Bay is commonly known for its Jervis Bay cabins.
When taking a break from the everyday grind of life, it’s nice to find and quiet secluded area such as Jervis Bay, and get back to basics. Nothing is more grass roots than a wooden cabin beside the sea, or in the woodland bush areas. However that doesn’t mean you’ll be living like a 1920s woodchuck. Most cabins these days are the equivalent of a good hotel room, with comfy beds, cooking areas, TV/DVD combos, ironing board and washing facilities etc. Some even have extensive outdoor quarters with barbeque patios, which is great during the hot summer months, which is when most people flock to the beautifully white beaches of Jervis Bay.
Jervis Bay cabins are still not for everyone. If you are the type that likes to get away from in all and set up camp in the middle of the bush then a cabin is definitely for you, but if you have a large family, with people all wanting to do different things, a hotel or larger holiday home is probably a better option. Typically Jervis Bay cabins attract older and younger couples on romantic getaways, teenagers out for some out of the way fun, trail walkers who’ll be going in to the bush, or those going for the full camping experience. Although they are fine for small families, larger families should probably look elsewhere for more spacious accommodation, closer to the main town’s facilities. (Not that all cabins are deep in the wilderness).
