Jamberoo Valley is famous for its tall cabbage tree palms, rolling green hills dotted with black and white dairy cows and beautiful historic buildings dating back to the 1820s when the area was settled. Jamberoo Village itself is a delightful step back into a quiet rural country town. It has a wonderful pub, a large oval and public swimming pool and a number of delightful cafes.

Jamberoo Markets are held on the last Sunday of each month from 8am to 3pm in Kevin Walsh Oval, Jamberoo.

Minnamurra Rainforest: (02) 4236 0469. Via Jamberoo on Tourist Drive 9. Minnamurra Rainforest is located at the foot of the coastal escarpment and is a rare tract of subtropical rainforest offering visitors of all ages and physical abilities ready access to this outstanding natural area. There is a 1.6km (return) elevated Rainforest Board Walk with disabled access over the first section. A 2.6km (return) walk to Minnamurra Falls including some steep sections. Track surface is pavers and boardwalk. The Lyrebird Cafe for a light meal or refreshments. A visitor centre, conference facilities and site hire for wedding and other special events. Open 7 days from 2am-5pm (access to walk closes at 4pm). A park fee applies (all monies raised go to the maintenance and preservation of the Rainforest environment for this and future generations.

Barren Grounds Nature Reserve: This is located at the top of Jamberoo pass. The area boasts stunning coastal views from rocky outcrops and is a 1750 hectare bird watcher's mecca. Defined as a 'hanging swamp', it offers several walks through the heathland. Griffiths Trail, an 8km circular track, is a relatively flat but scenic route through the heathland and a variety of other habitats. Cooks Nose Lookout is a shorter 6km return walk with excellent escarpment views over Kangaroo Valley. Picnic facilities are located here. Access from Jamberoo Mtn Rd, 19km west of Kiama.

Carrington Falls: Located in Budderoo National Park, this is a great place to walk, picnic or just relax. There are excellent plateau walking tracks (including one suitable for wheel chairs) with fine escarpment views towards Kangeroo Valley. Three lookouts provide superb views of the falls. A short walk leads to Nellies Glen, a delightful place for relaxing in summer.

Jamberoo Action Park: Located less than 10 minutes from Jamberoo Village (and around 1 hour from Sydney) this action packed theme park is NSW's No 1 family attraction. The Park has 11 exciting rides and attractions including the Alpine Chairlift, the Bobsled, Le Mans, and water features Outback Bay and Billabong Beach.
