• Shellharbour Village restaurants, cafes and shops just a 2 minute drive away.
• Visit the pub for a fabulous seafood platter of oysters, prawns, lobster and crab.
• Bass Point is a scenic marine reserve. Walking trails meander through the bush and along the water's edge. Access from Bass Point Tourist Road.
• Bushrangers Bay, only a couple of minutes by car, is one of the best scuba diving and snorkelling locations on the NSW south coast.
• Diving equipment and lessons are available at the Shellharbour dive shop.
• Nearby Killalea State Park (Killalea Drive Shell Cove) features stunning views in all directions and a range of public recreation facilities consistent with environmental conservation.
• Natural features include sandy, rocky shores, coastal dunes and heath, river frontage, tidal mangroves, fresh-water lagoon, subtropical and littoral rainforest remnants and an offshore island.

Popular recreational activities include:

• SURFING with two great surf beaches: Killalea Beach (The Farm) and Minnamurra Beach (Mystics) These beaches are NOT patrolled.
• FISHING from rock, beach and river.
• PICNICS at several sites throughout the Park.
• The park also features bush and coastal walking trails, and is within hiking distance of Bass Point Reserve and the picturesque Shellharbour village. Park entry is free. The Park is open 4.30 am to 8.45 pm daily
