Kiama Surprise is a beautiful, original country cottage that has been lovingly restored and fitted with all the comforts of a modern home. It is surrounded by rolling dairy pastures, yet is only four minutes by car to Kiama town and its surf beaches. It offers a perfect mix of beaches and classic style!

Pay for 2, stay for 3 special - This property offers the "pay for 2, stay for 3" special on weekends, "3 for 4" on long weekends, or "5 for 4" over Easter. The special can be applied to any day of arrival - if the applicable weekend rate is paid. The special does not apply in December and January.

Location -   Kiama Surprise is a beautiful character filled cottage located in the hills of Kiama. It is only a few minutes drive to numerous beautiful beaches, and Kiama town.

To drive to the property, take the main Kiama exit off the Princes Highway (Jamberoo Rd / Terralong St), and head west along Jamberoo Road. You will come to a small roundabout with Banksia Drive to your left. Continue straight ahead, and you will find Kiama Surprise about 500 metres past the roundabout on your right. Key features - Kiama Surprise will not disappoint! It is beautifully presented and decorated, and has lovely peaceful gardens. The house has a French balcony which affords a sunny aspect for all those cooler days and summer nights. There is also a large summer verandah for lazy, relaxing afternoons.

Configuration - Kiama Surprise is a country style cottage with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are three character filled double bedrooms with bedside tables, reading lamps and all have views of the garden and countryside beyond. One bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with shower vanity and toilet. The shared bathroom has a bath, shower and vanity and also a separate toilet and hand basin.

The kitchen has modern appliances that complement the charming farmhouse decor. From the big window looking out over the garden and the ambient wood fire stove, you will want to spend time here whether it's cooking , eating or just winding down by the fire in the cooler months. There is also a large dining room, separate lounge room with fireplace and a sun-drenched reading room.

Outdoors - Kiama Surprise has a beautiful pergola area that is perfect for alfresco dining. Take in the scents of the garden in springtime, chill out on balmy summer days or keep warm and toasty by the outdoor fireplace on clear starry nights. There is also a large verandah and French style balcony.

Heating and cooling - Kiama Surprise has two   wood fireplaces for winter warmth and ceiling fans in the bedrooms for summer.

Linen - Sheets, pillows, blankets or doonas, linen and bath towels are provided at this property. Please however bring your favourite beach towel!

Parking -There is off street, open air parking for up to three   cars on the driveway.

Pets - Kiama Surprise is a pet friendly property, subject to the following rules:

  • A pet surcharge of $50 applies
  • Please do not allow wet or dirty dogs in or through the house
  • Absolutely no dogs on the furniture or in the bedrooms
  • The yard is not fenced
  • Please bag and dispose of doggy waste appropriately

Minimum stay - There is a minimum two night stay for all bookings, which changes to three nights on long weekends, four nights at Easter and four night blocks during peak season. Peak season runs from mid-December to the end of January.

Peak changeover day - Please note that during peak season, our properties have designated changeover days to make the cleaning rosters manageable. We also do not generally schedule arrivals on the Christmas, Boxing, and New Years Day public holidays.

Internet/WiFi access - This property provides complimentary wifi and a password will be provided in your pre-arrival email, or will be available at the property. Please note however that neither the agency nor the owner can guarantee 100% that the wifi will work, and no compensation will be payable ifproblematic. If important, please therefore always have a back up plan.
