As summer draws to a close, the Winter Wine Festival warms up with local vignerons patiently tending to their nurtured vines in anticipation of another fantastic year’s harvest. Vines are in full splendour and this is an ideal time for all wine lovers to visit the NSW South Coast region and see the vines at their very best.
The New South Wales South Coast has a well-developed calendar of wine events and the next one on the schedule is the Shoalhaven Coast Winter Wine Festival to be held during the June long weekend. Wine lovers from everywhere are encouraged to invite their families and friends to join them in the Shoalhaven Coast Wine Region from the 11th to the 13th of June to explore this amazing area and enjoy great South Coast food and wine. Visitors will have an opportunity to tour cellar doors, experience free wine and cheese tastings, purchase local produce, enjoy gourmet food, listen to live music and a whole lot more.
A bus service will operate on Saturday and Sunday between the northern wineries or visitors can book their own minibus and create a special wine-tour experience. Accommodation is available at many of the amazing South Coast vineyards.
Three days of gourmet wine and food pleasure will provide visitors with an experience they won’t soon forget from Bawley Vale Estate and Yarrawa Estate, both offering a range of wines and orchard produce. There is also Crooked River Wines in the north offering a wide selection of wines to enjoy with your lunch while overlooking the beautiful vineyard. All regional vineyards will be filled with live music and entertainment, but most of all, with good friends, good food and great local wines.
