Anchor your yacht at the base of this home, and use it as your regular weekend retreat from the smoke and grime of the city. Or drive one hour through the Royal National Park (the second oldest national park in the world), or take the train to Cronulla and a ferry across the Port Hacking River to Bundeena.

Once at Moonya, kick back on the terrace, and watch the ever-changing sea vista, serenaded by the native birds perched in gum trees scattered throughout the garden.

Your own private access to the beach from this restored historic home. Simpson Cottage is a 1870’s sandstone home in a parkland setting with spectacular water views. Located only one hour south of Sydney in the Royal National Park, Bundeena is a holiday gem. LINEN INCLUDED BUT NO TOWELS. PRICES SHOWN ARE FOR UP TO 8 GUESTS. Simpson Cottage, built in the 1870s, was the original home of the Simpson family, one of the first settlers south of the Hacking River.
Sensitively restored, this cottage provides a unique experience, where you can enjoy the charm of the old cottage with stylish contemporary living. It is a perfect house for two families or couples.

Features
• Original features have been retained in the cottage.
• 3 bedrooms: Queen with water views, King (or two King singles), 2 bunk beds for 4 children.
• Bathroom with freestanding bath and underfloor heating in the new timber extension at the back of the cottage.
• A second bathroom is located in the rennovated rumpus/garage
• The sitting room has original fireplace, high ceilings and French doors.
• The modern kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave and nearby laundry with washing machine and dryer are also in new extension, with underfloor heating.
• The dining area which seats 8 is in the gazebo next to the cottage. The dining area has extensive views out to the water and park beyond.
• There is a short 50 metre track and sandstone stairs, just past the outdoor table, that leads down to the Bonnie Vale Beach and park below.
• Linen is included. But please bring your own bath and beach towels. However, the following ARE included at the property: Bath mats, tea towels, blankets, doonas and pillows.
• TV, DVD, stereo, plus there is an IPOD speaker/docking station in the gazebo, so please remember to bring your IPOD.
• NO PETS at property or in National Park.
• NO SMOKING in the Cottage or on the Verandah. If you do smoke on the grounds, please dispose thoughtfully of your butts and don't leave them in the garden.
• A BBQ is located on the verandah outside the kitchen. (At night use external lights – switch inside the front door or by the French doors in the kitchen). To operate the BBQ, turn on gas bottle under grill and click right hand gas knob on the panel. There is a spare gas bottle under the BBQ. Please let us know when the gas bottle has run out so we can organise a refill. BBQ should light automatically. Please turn BBQ gas off after use and leave clean (use water and newspaper to clean).
• Mobile heaters: All front rooms have mobile heaters which have 4 different heat settings. Please turn off during the day if not needed. The kitchen and bathroom have under floor heating which can be turned on/off by switch on the left wall next to rear French doors. The heater in the gazebo is a blow heater. Please turn off after use.
• The fireplace is original. Please treat with care. Place kindling and paper in the fireplace and light. Add larger logs to suit. Always use the fire screen for protection. Logs are in the log shed behind the house.
